*PRECIOUS PRECIOUS
What would the earth say if it could speak about the people who claim to own it?
Precious Precious is a speculative design project exploring the human obsession with owning land and resources. Inspired partly by the idiom If These Walls Could Talk, the project imagines landscapes as silent witnesses to human history.
Through a series of layered 3D printed topographies and sculptural fragments, the work gives voice to elements that have always remained silent. Water, land, and the world itself. The objects resemble geological cross sections, maps, and broken monuments. They blur the boundary between natural formations and human systems of control.
Water and earth are presented not as resources or property, but as ancient entities that existed long before human borders and economies. By combining sculptural landscapes with poetic narratives, the project shifts perspective. Instead of asking what humans can take from the planet, it asks what the planet might say about us.
Precious Precious questions a fragile assumption. That something older than humanity could ever truly belong to it.
